Out of the blue, She broke up with me during Christmas break because she was about to study abroad and was worried I might want to date someone else, or she might want to date someone else, and it wasn't me it was her and we could still be friends. It ended cold, no contact for over a year. Then I reached out to her, we briefly talked and reconciled. From then on and the past year we've talked every once and while, casually. This summer we talked a little casually and then our conversation ended. She went to teach and live abroad in Southeast Asia. She reached out to me about a month ago for the first time initiating conversation, and hasn't stopped keeping the conversation going. I've tried giving closed responses, but she finds a way to ask more questions about my life and what I'm doing. Recently in her message she said "Weird question, but curious have you dated anyone since us?" Not sure why she's asking or how to respond. Thoughts and ideas would be great.... TL;DR: Ex acting super interested in everything all of a sudden, asks if one dated anyone. Not sure how to respond. Also, we're both 23. Link to post Share on other sites

Friends talk to each other and ask about each other's dating lives, you know? What are your motivations here? Are you looking to reconcile while she is out of the country? If so...
