ChattyKat
at least thats how I feel. It hurts and makes me sad. For awhile, I thought we were getting close then it fell apart when my sister and her husband moved to another side of town away from a lake where we once hung around and socialized a bit. As kids we bickered and could never get along. Even as teenagers. Then our youngest sister, the 3rd of the girls committed suicide. She'd never talk about it like our youngest sister never existed. To this day, we barely talk still. I thought with age, she'd come around. Nope. And it tears me up inside. Thank God, I have a group of friends that we hang out together like family
CC12
It's a tough situation. Have you tried inviting her to spend time with you? Or inviting her for dinner or to see a movie, just the two of you? Do you include her in your life events, like birthdays, graduations, babies? Do you attempt to spend holidays with her? basil67
Does your sister actually dislike you? (there's nothing in your first post to indicate that she dislikes you) I wonder if it's more that the two of you have little in common.
