LookAtThisPOst
Was talking to a friend of mine who has been going online dating and he's noticed that every year, around the same time...last 2 months...there's an influx of dating opportunities/irons in the fire for him as the holidays approach. It seems once the season starts up, single people scramble for finding a partner to keep them warm at night or have someone for the holidays. Not sure if that's the real reason they should be doing this, but...this is a very organic, outside-looking in situation...just an organic pattern he's noticed (me to) of singles seeking other singles activities ramping up trying to find someone to couple up with for the holidays. In fact, one of my friends on Facebook sent me an invite to a singles mingle downtown for this VERY reason. Are you single and not finding the right person to endure this holiday season with? Do you know someone single who is always asking you to fix them up? If you answered yes to any of these questions we are looking for you! "Endure" is the choice of word used here? Anyone else notice the mad dash to find a partner as the holidays approach?
Hyperfocal
Interesting... When I look at Match.com which offers the total # with active profile within search criteria for me, I see 200 in the low season... between Thanksgiving and xmas, and 250 in the spring. For some reason here in the eastern US the women (30's) get busy and offline in the fall. Jan brings some (resolutions) and spring warmth does to. To be practical, most of my 2nd dates take place in a canoe or hiking. With the short days and coldness, there is less to do when dating but not yet "visiting each others homes" However this past week I have had considerably more connections online than usual. Could it be age bracket stuff? Maybe you are 20's? Idk, I love pondering such trends
SwordofFlame
Actually what I've noticed is that online dating activity really dies down in December and really picks up in January.
