Blanco
Be glad you didn't buy the house together. It sounds like perhaps she underestimated the true cost of home ownership.
oldshirt
I say meet in the middle and let her keep this month's rent check and start looking for a new place. She is looking at the house as a financial investment and assuming you do not want to be a business partner with her, your best option would be to find your own place and continue to date if you want. That way you may be able to remain in the dating relationship and she can have a more financially successful landlord business venture.
basil67
I understand you feel that you're not enough....but this isn't about you. This is about her struggling to make ends meet financially. Renting out a room is a great way to get extra income. If you find the right flatmate, it can work really well. That said, the rent you are paying seems pretty low. But perhaps you're in an affordable area??? Are you paying market rate for a building of that value?
Mr. Lucky
That way you may be able to remain in the dating relationship and she can have a more financially successful landlord business venture. Agreed. You're going to have to decide if you're a couple, real estate investors or roommates. Those are 3 very different things... Mr. Lucky
Popsicle
The landlord is moving other tenants in. What are you going to do?
