I have read that usernames are important to the whole dating site thing so wanted to get some feedback from the women here. What do you all think of any of the following, how would you react to these names? Any suggestions? IllBeYourHuckleberry - Sounds too eager to please. It's better to portray yourself as someone who makes discerning, careful decisions about people rather than someone who's ready and willing to be someone else's anything without consideration. Huckleberryknight - this one is fine, I think. HandsomeHuckleberry - Too self-aggrandizing. If you're handsome, it will be obvious. If you have to convince someone you are something, you aren't. SnagglePuss - makes you sound negative and miserable. I think you'd be well served with something a little unique that piques curiosity but doesn't sway opinions one way or the other right off the bat. Huckleberryknight is the only one that did that. I attempted to read Huck Finn as a child but never got into it. I was a Secret Seven kid. IllBeYourHuckleberry - Looking at the character analysis of the character he sounds quite all over the shop. Would I really want a Huck Finn? I have no clue - maybe the character comes out better in the book - you need to rely on her having read the book. Huckleberryknight - Are you a knight who is going to be totally amazing or are you just a normal guy? I'm not that keen on usernames which big up too much - and it's a general username - for all.. HandsomeHuckleberry - No way! Just don't express in a username that you believe yourself gorgeous - I recall Dashing Dave from pof - he mailed me again and again over several years of me being on and off OLD. He was not dashing. Far from it. I bumped into him too at a local store and he was shouting his head off at a trolley attendant - really rude he was and just because the trolley guy was controlling 30 odd trollies and Dashing Dave didn't have any consideration for him and walked in his path. SnagglePuss - makes you sound needy and clingy. I want a man not something that sounds like a cuddly toy. I have always gone for name of albums I liked. However, I think usernames should be something about you.....for ex. I have been described as grumpy but fun by several women in my life, and a few children. Therefore, to me, my username was simply something about me that wasn't like everyone else. I like opposites, correlating themes or mythological names. In a game I play, my username is Icarus because I love that myth. My son and I had a fun time making him a profile on a hook up site and his names were all sexually motivated, which I explained to him was going to alienate some women who found it off putting that he sounded like he was bragging about having a huge dong. Instead, pick a character like Khal Drogo who provided mental gymnastics on sexual availability. The idea intimidated him because Drogo is just so big. However, it is ok to call yourself Bigdong 28484374 or whatever but intimidating to compare yourself to the Dothraki King. Ha! Twenty year olds! Extra points for anyone who caught the double entendre. Huckleberryjam would fly with me, being a Brad Paisley fan. Just don't include 69 as part of your name, even if it's your birth year.
