tiki
Preface for those that don't know: The doctor's office in which I work has chosen to let our receptionist play nurse while our real nurse is out of the office on maternity leave. This will go on for another couple-few weeks. I just like to rant. Okay. Our pseudo nurse has cockied up an attitude. Our temporary fill-in receptionist came to me this morning with tears in her eyes. While I'm busy saving the world, I ignore her (ironic, eh?). I answer her question which has nothing to do with the tears in her eyes. I go on about my business. Later on this afternoon, she mentions getting upset this morning. Being that I had a few moments to actually talk to her (took a break from saving the world), I asked her what was going on. She said that Gretchen* had been rude to her. That she had went to hand her something in an exam room and Gretchen slammed the door in her face. It hurt the receptionist's feelings. I told her to communicate this to Gretchen (pseudo nurse) so that it doesn't happen again. She is gettin so cocky up in dis howse. She's just the receptionist and someone should remind her of that. She walks around whistlin dixie because she thinks she's a nurse. She. Is. Not. A. Nurse. She quits whistlin on the days she has to go back to play real receptionist. She goes back to pissy. But she likes bossing everyone around. She thinks she coooooooooool. Thank God, only a couple-few more weeks of this BULLKRAP. Back to saving the world and ignoring those in need. /rant *Names have been changed to protect the identity of our pseudo nurse.
Curtfromafar
Makes you wish that you were in a position to schedule a "pseudo" medical conference that sees you flying off to a sunny destination ... cuz, afterall ... where ELSE would such a conference go on. Try to keep sane in the meantime... or report them all to a medical board. Problem in that case is obvious though. Jeesh ... the mind just boggles at the cram that's going on, doesn't it. I think I'm going to be looking at nurses and doctors a lot differently from here on in. Curt
SoftDrink
um...why is a receptionist allowed to act as a nurse? shouldn't the doctor have found a competent replacement? i would be pissed if i found out i was treated in any way by a receptionist.

CurlyIam
*stupid silly puter* YEah, does she even have the right to play nurse ? I try to imagine how she'd act if she could play doctor. I think first thing she'd do is fire everyone and then give them he jobs back only for the fun of it, LOL!!! Don't worry, let her have her fun no, she'll eat five times more crap when she returns to her old back . Some people never learn!!
