Grumpybutfun
On a few threads, some of which were closed, I was very reactive and unkind in my responses concerning the US election. This is a time of great concern for many people, and even I can be reactive when I see what I see as injustice. However, there was absolutely no excuse for making disparaging remarks about people's intelligence. I was wrong to do so, and I have reflected on my behavior with great consternation, especially after reading how sad and afraid people are in general, not only in the US but in the world. I served my great country for 25 years with pride. I was often under Commanders in Chief whom I didn't really agree with...Democrat and Republican. The fact is that I felt betrayed by what I perceived as a hate campaign against fellow Americans. Adding to that hate is not only illogical, but wrong. Therefore, anyone that I offended with my reactive remarks, I apologize. I may not agree with nor condone certain aspects of your thought process, but that does not give me the right to be unkind or to insult anyone. I found that this election has given me a realization that I must improve who I am as a man, a father and a member of society. I have read many posts over the years here. It has given me insight into the human condition and made me much more aware of what is in people's heads. There are many Trump supporters here who were very welcoming to me when I first arrived and was starting a very spiritual journey. I lost sight of the fact that good people can disagree in peace. If I do not admit when I am wrong, I'm not a good person, and that is a value to me, so please accept my humble apology. Best, Grumps

Author Grumpybutfun
Firstly, thank you for your service. Secondly, I admire your humility and will strive to emulate your humanity. Thanks, grumpy. Thanks Muddy....humility is somethings I have a hard time with. As a young man, I lived through ego. Now I'm trying to be something more. However, strength isn't about what makes us feel good but what makes us good for the world. I still have so far to go, but I'm striving. Grumps
