IhavenoFREAKINclue
Did he do it to you? If your bday passed that is. See, I was wondering this too. Are you on NC as of now? If so then no, don;t send hi a message. If you guys are friends and talk here and there, then yes. But if it was a nasty break up then leave well enough alone.
Author queenie01
Well thats sort of what I thought, but i feel bad? For my day he had a party for me and gave me a beautiful ring - which i dont even wear anymore since he dumped my a$$ 3 weeks later!!! ugh!!

Author queenie01
Why did he break up with me? or why should i send him a message?
beejsea2
Don't send him a birthday message
Author queenie01
Well lets see he broke up with me for no reason and that was 2.5 months ago, it took him FOREVER to give me my things back and it wasnt even everything... We work for the same company and have run into each other several times... Just when i start to get over him, he suddenly resurfaces and it makes me SOO mad!! He sent me an email last week to see how my vacation was...as if he should care...but like an idiot i responded, he got what he wanted and then stopped replying to my emails... So after that I got mad and decided NC is best for this situation. I even changed my workout schedule as of monday so that he cant see me. My bday was before we broke up so yes it passed. I just didnt know if I should wish him a happy bday or not?
A Fly onThe Wall
Why send him a message for his Birthday .. He is an Ex don't give him the satisfaction that are thinking of him
Author queenie01
I guess the verdict is NO!!! Geez i feel bad but I guess everyone is right, i shouldnt give him the satisfaction that he crossed my mind that day. It will probably hurt him more by me not acknowledging it. beejsea2
If you send him a message he'll think that you still care and than you'll open yourself up again to him. What happens if you send the message and he ignores the fact that you sent it?? How will you feel?? The best thing to do is forget about him and move on.

If you send him a card it will only boost his ego .. It's only a birthday When people break up they don't break up and say " Let's break up but send each other cards "
Author queenie01
Well I know he wont ignore it but I do still care for him a TON and still want him back so sending the message will probably set me back pretty far.
J dub
Originally posted by queenie01 It will probably hurt him more by me not acknowledging it. I was thinking the same thing. My ex's is the SAME DAY as my sister's so he knows I'm going to remember, but I wont say anything to him. Whats the point, so he can feel special? f*** that!

I almost screwed up once, too. Even had a card ready to go, but I came to my senses and ripped it up. Actually, I have to thank my roommate for bringing me back to earth. Thanks, C-Man... Author queenie01
Ok ok....as much as its going to kill me, I wont acknowlege it!! I guess he isnt deserving of it anyways seeing as he broke up with me for no reason yet tries to keep the communication lines open!
beejsea2
Trust me I made the mistake at Christmas time sending my ex who left in Oct a card and a monetary gift. Well I didn't get a thank-you. I was hurt but it made me realize that he couldn't even thank me for something that I really did out of freindship that he wasn't worth my time or my tears!

After all, he did break up with you. Get tough!

Most likely his reaction will be: why in the heck she sent me this card? Honey, think about YOUR feelings. If you allow yourself to step all over your feelings, other people will do that too. And guess what, when you do it yourself it doesn't hurt cuz you don't feel the pain. When others do that, it hurts like hell. BTW, my ex's BD is comming up in 2 weeks. I guess I know what I'm gonna do... or not do.
Author queenie01
You guys are all right.... he doesnt deserve the satisfaction of getting a happy bday from me!! After all he is the one who gave me up!

Fallen_Angel
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. If you do, don't expect anything in return. I mailed a card AND called (this was a month after the breakup - glad I hadn't bought any presents!). My birthday was last month. Know what he did?! He FORGOT. 'Nuff said. Spare yourself the aggrevation.
