Messy Lady
My MM is my boss as well and compliments me a lot. Much of it is work related in terms of my attitude and commitment but it's also about how smart and funny I am too. He often says he would hate working at our place if I wasn't there, that it would be a miserable place to be and too much hard work without me. He also makes a point of telling me compliments about me he's heard from other people and is very dismissive of any negative comments made about me, seeing them as either untrue or as a problem with the person making the comment and not a problem with me. But he's not being completely over the top on this - we had a meeting at work the other day and afterwards whilst he did say my performance in the meeting was very good, he did highlight something I'd done that I could do differently next time. I've also heard from other people about how he thinks very highly of me. He does this with me regardless of whether we are on or off at the time.
Mayday2016
He told me I was gorgeous when we were first together. Started at pretty, graduated to beautiful. And then gorgeous. "You look nice" when we met up at a hotel before I got pregnant. It had been 5 months since he told me anything like that. "You look pretty" the night he fake cried to me because I filed for child support when baby was 6 weeks old. He then said, "I guess I didn't say things like that too often to you when we were together?" So in 15 months I received 3 compliments. He had me really doubting my attractiveness. And then my exh leaving me for a 23 year old hurt my confidence even more. It is what it is. He thought he was being honest or something, and didn't want to give me praise where it wasn't deserves it some sht like that.
