"Why I am not marriage material" - Is there such a thing?

Recommended Posts

Maybe they do cringe but they are still doing it (not that I'm against it for others, it's just not for me). I was at a Xmas party with a bunch of young married couple this past weekend. They all had young babies and many of these moms didn't work at all. They stopped working once the baby came.

This is so true. I notice that when babies enter a marriage, men are rarely the ones to stay home with them if a couple decides that one parent should be home. I live in a community with larger families and mostly SAHMs.

It's sad that the work which SAHMs do is so devalued in this society. Anyone who thinks that it's easy to stay home and raise children doesn't have a lot of experience with kids. If the SAHM is engaged and hardworking, looking after children is very draining.

It sure is. I'm glad that's over for me. Lol

Amen! I'm glad it will never begin for me.

I'm so glad that I had plenty of experience with children as a younger woman. It taught me that I am not cut out for motherhood.
