A "Thank you for dinner" would be nice?

This isn't really my gripe, but I had a friend of mine that has been doing online dating a lot lately and he's notice how a lot of women never thank him for dinnner/taking them out, etc.

He has noticed the lack of graciousness from women these days, any reason for this you think?

He's choosing to date women who aren't grateful or typically don't say "thank you" to anyone at all or they're simply forgetting to say it. If this is an expectation/pet peeve then he can choose to be pickier about who he goes out with.

I wouldn't focus on things I can't change (other people). Sets you up to fail and end up being bitter/passive aggressive every time.

Um...there is no logic at all in what you said. There is no "choosing" such people, unless you are psychic. lol!

How can he even KNOW this before going out with them? The only way to find out if they will or will not say "Thank you for dinner" is by taking them out to dinner.

You're not wrong. Yet no one else other than your friend can do anything about the problem. It seems to me he has to be more selective, not less.
