Not sure if I should text him first or wait for him

Hi everyone!

 

So I recently met a guy (well I haven't seen him in real life yet). Anyway, I added him on Snapchat thinking he was someone else since he has the same name as my friend. Long story short turns out he's my best friend's roommate who I haven't met yet. We started talking a little and I suggested we hang out sometime and that perhaps I should give him my number. He said "please do" and gave me his number. So I gave him my number. And neither of us has texted yet.

 

Should I wait a few days or just take the plunge and text him?

The problem with contacting him first (for the second time) is that you won't really know if how interested he is in you or if he is just enjoying the attention.

Bzzzzt. There are no supposed to's with regard to texting first. Maybe he's sitting around thinking the problem with texting her first is he won't know how interested she is. Why do women perpetuate the myth that they're not supposed to show interest, and then worry themselves silly about whether the guy is interested? Mutual and balanced can work out nicely.

It was you who suggested exchanging numbers. Maybe he's just more comfortable on snap chat.
