Should I still be hopeful? Am I setting myself up for more hurt?

I have been in a relationship for a year now, my boyfriend moved in about a month ago. I knew something was wrong, so looked at his Instant messages and his text messages and discovered that he had had an affair with a much younger girl. He said he had been with her twice and that it was over( which I am not sure it is over..... hence the text messages and the Instant messages and the lies he told when I would ask him about it before he admitted it.)

 

He went to his mothers house for a while, but he left a lot of his things here and promised that he would be back when we had worked everything out.

 

Now i am worried that he is back with the other woman. He is talking about not coming back, ever.

 

I am wondering if I should still hold out hope that he will be back or if I am doomed to be hurt more that i was willing to forgive and work through it, and he still leaves me?

You need to talk to him ..

 

He needs to sh*t or get off the pot.

 

otherwise you are just a puppet on his strings.. If he is over with it.. tell him to come get his stuff so you can move on
