When I hear average looking. The first thing I think of is you have no style and you don't stand out. You don't dress up and you are very basic in your dress. a Lot of hand me down clothes. So I am asking what your classifications of looks are, when you say average looking, what comes to your mind. Hot/Sexy means I can see a lot of people wanting to sleep with you. Pretty. Your pleasent to look at, easy to talk to. Handsome as a guy, means you look competent and on the go. Beautiful means your great to look at, I wish you were my GF All of what I have said before has to be taken in context. My context is when I see a single woman that I don't know well. I would think about the looks he was born with and that in comparison to the rest of the population of men, he seems about average in looks. Definitely not a head turner, in fact I'd say to the large majority of women I don't even show up on the radar based on looks alone. The women that have fallen for me generally liked the fact that I'm smart and funny. It wasn't looks that drew them in. Like the Pilot thats going to get him out of a jam. You almost have a rugged Toby McGuire look to you. A head tuner to me if you are a man is nothing for the most part. Unless you are a Actor/Athelet sp/Music Artist. Its rare that you will turn heads. Women are the head turners, because guys are goofy. I rarely hear my women friends have a BF and then gush in looks about them, or their GF's on Facebook respond to that. There is a woman at my Gym that is an attendant there. Men are Handsome. I had a coworker who was a good looking man. He was so full of himself though that he turned most people off. Another coworker, a woman. She's nice looking, but her personality transforms her into one of the most beautiful women that I know. True beauty doesn't have anything to do with clothes or even looks. Not insanely beautiful, hot or sexy, and not ogre-like. Most people fall into the "average category" to me. It doesn't mean they aren't attractive or that they are boring. As far as pure looks go, I tend to take the view that the vast majority of women, barring extreme exceptions, can be considered beautiful if she is willing to put effort into taking care of her appearance. Based on my observations, looks are often rated by others according to how one grooms herself (e.g., makeup, hairdo, outfit, heels, etc.), instead of her natural beauty. Yeah I had seen that, speaking of which, I was emailing this woman...granted she was on the chubby side, but had a nice smile and wasn't bad enough looking...I would say we would have been nicely matched in appearance. She had a lot of , "If your this...do not email me/email me." In one part of her profile, she had, "If you don't mind a woman with some meat on her bones (meaning, if you don't mind dating a fat girl), that to go ahead and email her. Further over, she said, "If you're bald and/or out of shape, do not email me, I won't respond." And I was like "Wait a min, hon, you could lose a few pounds, but you expect the man NOT to be out of shape...like YOU are out of shape?" They had a section where they manipulated pictures of average faces (as in those which were not very symmetrical, apparently the viewer was supposed to find the manipulated shots much more attractive. They had surveyed also and found the majority of people found the doctored photos more appealing. Not me, I found the average unsymmetrical pics much more attractive, not the doctored ones. Thinking about my dating history and men I have had crushes on just on looks alone - yep - all were average looking. Link to post Share on other sites
