JadeStar
We have a friend who takes this L-Arginine. I know its a type of amino acid and helps support protein and metbolisim. My friends husband is the one that takes it along with other supplements as well. He works out but not that often. She said she read about this L-Arginine, and not only is it an amino acid, but it can help with keeping the d*ck hard, because it helps increase blood flow etc. I think it also helps with stamina. I think her concern is why take something like that to make or keep it hard, when he doesn't have that problem to begin with. He tells her he does alot of reasearch on things before he buys them. If hes done alot of research then he should know that it also helps with that too. She asked him about it, and he told her it doesn't do that. However shes read differently and it says it can be almost like viagra. Why would he need to take it if he doesn't have a problem with keeping it hard, up or stamina? Just wondering, thanks. Outcast
Where was she reading her information? Just because something is in a book or on the Internet doesn't mean it is correct. If he's done the research, she should ask him to show her what she read. But why does she care?
Blackfrost
L-Arginine has been available as a suppliment forever - it's much like glutamine, in that it will help improves blood flow circulation in the entire body, but with no specific focus on any one point. Weight lifters usually take it, or a mix of a couple amino acids, so they can increase blood flow in the areas where they are trying to build bigger muscle mass. It's by know means any wonder drug. Author JadeStar
Hi thanks for the info blackfrost. outcast she cares because for one he takes lots of supplements and powders. Its understandable for people who lift weights or are body building. yes hes a member of a gym, but rarely goes. I mean maybe like once in a month. Why feed your body things such as those prducts if you're not gonna workout like you should. I'm not sure where she got her orginal info but she did see something on ConsumerLab.com about it. Craig
L-Arginine is used by the body in many different ways. It is needed for the immune system, injury healing, protein synthesis, nitrogen transport, storage and excretion, etc., etc., etc. Some body builders believe it assists the body to build lean muscle and decrease body fat. My conclusion. He's probably using L-Arginine to assist his body building and is not using it to make his dick hard.
Author JadeStar
He probably is, then he needs to go to the gym and body build, not go once and wait a month. Thats not consistant if you're gonna body build. So basically all the powders and supplements are not beneficial if theres no consistancy in weight training/body building. Thanks again. Craig
There is one temporary positive to the magic powders that are hawked by the modern day equivalent of snake-oil vendors to the wannabe bodybuilders looking for results without the work in workout--the placebo effect is amazing. Author JadeStar
Maybe thats it he wants or is thinking of an easy way to try and get the benifits from all this stuff instead of actually working out, LOL I dunno. Whats the placebo effect? LOL Jade
markraine
arginine does work. Its effects are well documented and as mentioned, it is featured in many bodybuilding supplements because it increase movement of blood throughout the body. If you're generally skinny, adding arginine prior to a workout will turn blast your veins, you'll look like you have garden hoses sticking out....its only temporary but effective. Arginine works best in combination with ornithine and saw palmetto if you are going for the sexual side of things...it is featured in many so-called potency formulas for men, most of them are rather useless, but the arginine alone will increase blood pumping through the body, which will in theory cause longer-lasting and harder erections, this is pretty well documented as well, but it all depends on genes, the person's general health and the kinds of food they take in. In general, the healthier you are, the more of an effect you will see with arginine, on top of that, avoiding alcohol and caffeine while taking arginine is crucial as well. Hope this helped somewhat.
