aljo1
I subscribe to a spanish dating service last november for free. Ever since then I never received any message unti now. The first message went like this:to be candid with you I think I'm in live just by looking at your profile..when I tried to look o htat profile there's no profile or it says that no onger exists..all it says is that this person is 24 years old, and lives in Stuttgart, Berlin, Germany..and writes from a yahoo.com.uk. The funny thing is that everything I wrote in my profilewas in Spanish and every other profile there are all written in Spanish, and this person is answering in English. Anyways, I sent her an e-mail..on hte e-mail it says..right now I cosider you my friend, and eventually my lover...and sends me a photo. The photo is of a full body of somebody who has a beautiful face and a nice body..I was like wow.. Anyways, I answered that e-mail..the next e-mail is with I need our help title..when I started reading that e-mail..I was like con-artists dressed like cupid want to fool me over here, what a scam..I never thoght that those "be my partner, I'm from Nigeria(or other places from Africa), I have a fortune of $ miilions, be my partner overseas" crap, would even use dating sites to fool people!! The person said, "I'm 24 years old..I'm from libera, I'm the daughter of the late col so and so..I need your help, I own $7 millions and would like you to be my husband and future partner overseas and stuff like that. I'm telling you the whole truth" What you guys think? Who of you would believe this? I would want to reply to that e-mail and say: "Stop stealing peoples money with your phony stories, please!! I don't fall for the too good to be true beauty or riches--thanks."
Merin
I say that when someone you've NEVER met, NEVER talked to, NEVER seen sends you an email that says they are in Love with you as an opening email you should run fast, and run far... That ALONE is a red flag... sounds like a whack ass to me. Good Luck
MWC_LifeBeginsAt40
I've had a few of those in my online profile and they were also from other women....yoohoo....i'm also a heterosexual woman!
Author aljo1
Well, it seems that it could be more common than I thought, then. These con-artist want to act smart and end up acting more stupidly because of their desperate ideas to stealing(making)money.
Neptune
The scams happen a lot. Before the internet a girl(?) I was writing asked for dollar bills of various denominations (like 50, 20 10 and 5) for her currency collection. Since the age of the internet it is not uncommon for guys to be solicited by prostitutes that are within a close distance or at least it would appear so. That may in itself be a scam. The pictures are always pretty.
