Merin Posted July 26, 2005 Share Posted July 26, 2005 When a person is In Love with the IDEA of being in Love it means they are all about the concept of having someone special, having a relationship and often times it doesn't matter if the person they are persuing or with is actually "right" for them or not... they are in love with the concept but not so much the person they are with... You want the fairy tale and the love songs with butterflies all around and ANY MAN, doesn't matter because you make yourself believe your IN love with someone when in reality it's just the feeling of being with someone and thinking you love them. JS17 Posted July 26, 2005 Share Posted July 26, 2005 i had to read this post when i saw the title because it was a super-frustrating thing to figure out about my ex when we were already into our relationship. they want to be "in love" all the time only in most cases, they don't really know what love is....they want that honeymoon period all the time and when it wears off they move on to someone who can give them that feeling of being "in love". You want the fairy tale and the love songs with butterflies all around and ANY MAN, doesn't matter because you make yourself believe your IN love with someone when in reality it's just the feeling of being with someone and thinking you love them. JS17, This is usually much more true for women than men. Men just want to "tap it' and it has nothing to do with being in-love. They may tell you they are in-love (all the while they have their eyes on another prize). If the "honeymoon period" ends a relationship then it was never love but lust.
