He wants kids and I don't... been married 7 years!

Well I am sorry about your situation. I understand that having children is a huge life-change and one that should not be taken lightly. I understand that they are challenging and yet a HUGE blessing. They do change your life, but people of all ages and in all stages of life have children and make it work. I am a strong advocate for marriage and don't believe that bond should be broken. I think that you need to come to a conclusion together about when/if you will have children. It is not one person's choice. I think it could be a good idea for you to see a marriage counselor to talk through this issue for the benefit of both of your and your marriage. Best of luck. Praying for you!

I think you don't want kids with him (but you haven't accepted that yet) and are just trying to buy more time with him.

It is not one person's choice.

Of course it is. In 99% of all relationships, having a child is a theoretical consideration for the father and a practical consideration for the mother who, incidentally, is giving birth to the child.

Be nice if they agreed. If they don't, biology empowers one party over the other...

For all the good news stories from women able to fall pregnant later in life, there are a heap of women unsuccessfully doing IVF. Me? Peri-menopausal in my late 30's and full menopause at 44. I can't tell you how grateful I am that I had my kids when I was 29 and 31.

There's never a good financial/career time to have kids. You just have to take a leap of faith.

What about people who bring children into poverty? Should they have taken a leap of faith?

I don't agree with couples bringing children into the world if they have to depend on the government and food banks.

I have cut off former friends for making that stupid and selfish choice. No child deserves to grow up like that!

I'm not saying that only wealthy couples should become parents. I just don't think that couples who can't even pay their utility bills or buy food should become parents.
