Appearing wealthy to attract dates.

Recommended Posts

I've been over the car thing, but your point on the escort nails it.

I like the Hotel bar idea. I need new shades anyway, so I'll go high end...good idea.

I'd really like to avoid the expensive dinners...maybe " my doc has me on a special diet to rid my system of ink toxins from sniffing my IBM stock certificates"

Open to suggestion on that.

I have platinum MC...is that the same?

Well, I wouldn't have that kind of money for very long @12k a month.

What does this Black card offer?

Gold, how old are you and what's the age of your target demographic? The ideal subtlety of your approach will vary greatly based on those factors.

I'm 43 the target is age 18 to 55 attractive gold diggers :D;) Actually I lean toward over 30

I'd like to hear your advice on age variables.

I do think they are by invitation only.. but you may be able to get one if you try hard enuff

They *are* invitation only, but mine doesn't have an annual fee. They are *not* the status symbol you think. I use my Platinum CitiBank VISA when I travel -- it's more widely accepted in Europe. AmEx and Diners are for folks to use while on business travel, they're designed for the corporation -- the truly wealthy don't work for the corporation...they *are* the corporation.

Right. There are also some "black" Blue cards out there.... Very rare. You can buy a house with one. Since AmEx doesn't have a fixed credit limit, the contract is based on your net worth.

First off, even a gold-digger won't "short term date" (i.e., no strings attached sex) without some "expensive dinners, and such," so forget about that idea. If a woman is going to like you because you have money (that's your goal, right, or at least the appearance of it), you're going to have to spend some of it on her, even if just for dinner...otherwise, why else would she like you just for money? C'mon now.

Agreed. A typical date would be jetting to Paris for the weekend, a day on the yacht, shooshing down the slopes in Aspen on a Wednesday "work" day.... That sort of thing. But this is probably out of GP's range. Maybe a silver digger is a better target?

No..

Platinum Visa ,Mc or whatever are just cards.. Platinum Amex is different.. costs 375.00 annual and is seen as a rich guy card.. it is by invatation only I think you have to have a gold for many years in order to get one.

A work day free is easy. Gold Pile would be an aluminum pile soon enough, if spent like that very often.

I would hope a nice (resonable price) "get to know ya" date would be possible.

If I walk the walk (in my fancy shoes) and talk the the talk... Then it looks like on moving on... "dang.. I got to head off to Germany in a few days ~one of my companies is in trouble~ it was nice meeting you. Say, care to join me for some local horseback riding Wednesday?"

" I love fine dining in France, go there several times a year, but I love to check out Mom+ Pop joints around here too.

Care to join me at that new Bob's Chow?"

"

[/b]someday maybe I'll show you this great place is Paris."

Never expected certain things.

One of my female employees (never looked at me twice) spent too much time flirting with me Monday. The car was central to her rap, moving on to probes into my finances, and social life.

I'm wondering if she'll be asking for a raise or a date. I didn't get to be well off for nothing, I'll shoo her "back to work" Tuesday if I have too.

My neighbor used to sweep a large part of my sidewalk, when doing his. Since the new car he hasn't done mine.

I have a sort of familiy reunion coming up, I know these people and can predict who will see the car scornfully, who will see it as "big time", and who will take no notice at all. I have one Cousin who has clearly only chased guys with money. We'll have to start a whole new terrible thread here, if she chases me.

Before I read the last line I thought she was gonna hit your cheap as* up for a raise..

I hope you treat your emloyees better than your prospective dates..Without GREAT employees that are paid well you don't even get to afford your car..

But..Judging by your flirty employee she will looking for a new job soon.. Wrong impression to give at work duffus..

You want the respect of your coworkers not their love

Must have good employees, must pay and respect them enough.

She's a good worker when not wasting time flirting with me...a keeper.

People who work together, shouldn't get involved....nothing but trouble.

This thread sure took off, huh?

I think that some doubted (at 1st) that my motives were well intentioned.

Now almost everyone is on my side, and I thank you all.

Saturday I'm going to a gathering of mostly strangers. This will be my 1st chance to act with a plan.

Haven't got all the props yet, but this will be a trial run anyhow.

Sort of a middle of the road group (financially speaking) so maybe the appearance of a multi millionaire will generate some interest.

I think there are gold diggers at all levels, not just lurking around palm beach. You can find them working as store clerks, factory workers, office workers etc etc. A financially centered woman, making 9$ an hour might leap at the chance to snag ol gold pile.

I know you're all supporting me on this, it means so much. I'll keep you updated.

Saturday I attended a gathering. Turns out a couple of people knew me pretty well, so I couldn't get too carried away with the game.

I bitched about my stocks, and currency exchange rates.

I ended up spending a long time with two ladies. Small world, one was a horse fan, thanks to loveshack I was able to speak with some education. The horse lady was quiet, very well read, intelligent, and attractive.

I enjoyed her company and mostly spared her my game plan.

The other lady, a receptionist, was almost as attractive as the other. She kept the conversation focus on my car and financial affairs. This was very easy for gold pile...she did the work.

Cutting to chase, she gave me her number.

You may be shocked to hear this, but it's rare for women to give GP their number.

I need to have an impressive biz card, for such number exchanges. "Gold Pile, Old Money Investor  "??

Now, I welcome suggestions on next step...the call...the date.

Call her and set up a date for a nice dinner.. Yes you are going to have to make it an expensive dinner.. If you want to play you have to pay..

Then after dinner and great convo.. and don't talk too much about your money during dinner then take her home and bang her.. She will be expecting this move..

Hello Gold Pile, Concluding a good read of your thread I would almost be tempted to date an american as this here is really humorous :-).

Had I read this thread any earlier I would have suggested a TRW or an old timer (jag x-type, cobra) now I am unsure how popular a TRW is in the US though they are quite rare even in the UK although they are built here. And regarding how to attract the gold diggers with the BMW / Mercedes question... its not about the make (thats just brash judging how good a car is by hearing the brand, god Merc invented the Smart), rather the type, take the Merc Brabus, any car can have a BMW or Merc logo, though its whats under the bonnet that counts (just like men really..), and thats what you really pay for, its understated though has about a 1000 more PS than a normal Merc.

How is your progress with the dating scenrio going ?

(P.S. Paris is where all the American touris go, try a few other places like St Sebastian, Tuscany, Ibiza, a little bit off the beaten track and a touch more sexy... you can research them online so that your reportoire is fitting). Anyhow good luck and keep me updated and if you are ever in London........ (joking!).

Back to the subject of this thread.

False advertising begets false love. If a person tries to reel in a lady with a nice car that is beyond his means to own, there will be problems. This approach is dishonest and will backfire every time. Why would any man want a woman who is attracted to him for his car anyway? That's just garbage.

If a woman doesn't care about a man for who he is, she is not worthy of his time. Relationships are difficult enough as it is without having to constantly strain to keep up a lie. If a woman is looking for a wealthy guy, let her be free to find a real one.

I feel sorry for GP - he obviously doesn't have much self esteem or self respect. His mission is to falsely exaggerate his status and use "props" to portray himself as something he's not - all to attract superficial golddigers. Wow GP, you sure have such lofty aspirations.

Why would you want to play such juvenile games and put on a show to lure in transparent women who aren't going to give a damn about who you are as a person/what you stand for/what's important to you/your intelligence/your sense of compassion - but instead, just want a sugar daddy who will "keep" them with expensive trips and baubles and rides in nice cars?

I think it's sad indeed that a man would set out to attract women who are only after his money (or perception of money). I sense you have deep seated issues with intimacy, relationships, commitment, giving and receiving love, being vulnerable and really opening up to others. Stable men don't go on missions to be used by women.

I guess it just happens then ....Without their knowledge

Gold Pile is a trip .. I think he is just bored with his life the way it is and is shaking it up because what he was doing before wasn't working..

He will learn..

I'm starting to think that Gold Pile has had this secret fantasy for a long time.

I'm thinking he probably doesn't have a dime to his name.

And he desires to observe the 'way the other half live'.

Not a horrible mission, but I'm still very concerned that someone is going to get hurt big-time.

April.. Most women ( even gold diggers ) will see him coming a mile away and they won't get hurt..

Gold Pile is the one that will likely get hurt.. I'll bet anything that he falls for one of his victims and when she finds out about the props and the phoney bs.. She will crumple his heart up into a ball and throw it out..

He then will be posting on LS about why he lost the love of his life and how much it hurts :)

The car is not beyond my means. I'm not looking for long term relationship. A few fun dates, she comes to know that GP isn't much of a spender, she moves on. We both had some fun hopefully.

You can have a "few fun dates" with all kinds of women - why are you trying to put on a show and attract only the golddiggers? You've got issues, dude.
