Is part of the reason you are wondering if he'll contact you again is so that you can be mentally prepared for it and he won't catch you off guard?

 

That's not a bad idea at all. It sounds very much like he knew what to say to keep you off balance. If you are prepared, that will be far less likely to happen.

 

If he does apologize, I have a feeling it would only be to try and draw you back in. At least, if you have planned out in your mind what you'll say and do, it can give you strength.
