yea i try to joke around about it too, especially since he's got a jokster's personality anyways....

 

not to mention, it doesn't taste real good when i kiss him....but i told him he could put his face in a pile of crap and i'd still kiss him lol love my man!!

 

my b/f also knows the dangers of smoking, i mean he's an intelligent guy anyways...this is just something thats been a part of him since he was a kid...he had an awful childhood....since he was like in jr. high, he's been back 'n' forth from smoking and chewing...either doin one or the other...

The reason that i seemed cranky is because its frustrating watching a gruop of smokers give up on giving up because they are under the perception that nicotine is highly addictive. Only when you realise that it is actually easy to quit that you can stop for good. The only real hurdle to over come is pyschological and unless you get that Eureka moment that really cigarettes have no hold over you then quitting will be tricky.

 

I've tried with patches, cold turkey, inhalers, snacking/exercise substitution and still every time i would fail. I would end up walking a store to "buy some milk" but end up loosing the fight whilst i was on the way. Sometimes this took hours, sometimes a week or so.

 

10 weeks now, I only really think about smoking when i'm talking to some one about it. And when i think about putting that s**t in my body again it makes me want to puke.

 

Read the book. You don't even need to stop smoking. Just read it and make your own mind up. theres the link, at least click it and check out other people comments on it.

In all seriouseness, after quitting i felt straight away like i had left a girl friend who was not good for me. Sex might have been good but it's even better to know i don't need to put up with the other crap any more

I always brush my teeth afterwards, have a candy handy (hehehe, a stupid rhyme!) and wash my hands so I don't stink. I know if I can smell it, he can too.

well he claims once again that he's quit...says their disgusting, he had one 3 days ago and didnt even smoke all of it, just threw it out...

 

i said "thats funny, one minute you enjoy 'em, the next you can't stand 'em" all he responded with was "well thats my body for ya"

 

unfortunately i dont believe him for one minute that he's quitting. I believe he'll start chewing here in a couple mts *since he's been back 'n' forth all this life from smoking/chewing* once these "cravings" come back...

 

It sucks b/c I really wanna just give him a big hug and say "ohhh honey thats great, i'm sooo proud of you!!" but i cant do that b/c i dont believe him...
