clandestinidad
I'm sure I 'notice' guys' shoes, but I dont know when in the interaction I do so. I know its not within the first 5 things I notice. First I notice their jeans or pants. If they dont look right, I'm immediatly uninterested. Especially wranglers.....BLEH chunky vomit.....(sorry)....and if the legs of the pants look odd, then it makes the guys body look odd. I prefer the "slightly baggy/slightly fitted in all the right places" jeans and pants Anyway, I actually prefer laid back, surfer/wakeboarding/skiing type of guys (not for work attire, just for everyday stuff)...and indie guys. So a guy in tattered flip-flops is great for me....or a guy in cool 'indie' sneakers or something But like I said, its certainly not one of the first 5 things I notice (and I only notice watches if theyre blinding me by the reflection they cast....and thats a turn-off in itself)....and I dont give a rats a$$ about their wallet either. If its velcro or something I find it more cute/sporty than low-class. IMO, guys that have expensive trinkets like flashy expensive shoes, wallets, watches, earrings, necklaces, rings, clothes, etc are usually too shallow and self-absorbed for me....I think its gross that someone could be so concerned with themselves and what people think of him....and he MUST live in his own little world to think that people actually give a s*** what he wears, or that they all look and admire him when he passes by.....those people need to get over themselves just what I think

clandestinidad
your manner of thinking will probably change in 10 years... huh?? In the next 10 years I'm going to turn into a shallow, superficial person???? I dont think so! If I WAS going to be a shallow superficial person, I think I would be by now, so I dont really understand the "in 10 years" comment

Jtizzle
a man shoes says alot about him..if he keeps them up and clean even though he had them since 93 then i have no problem with that, shows he knows how to take care of things and not necessarily that he doesnt have money...he may love those shoes..but if the shoes are dirty, leanin to the sides, and talkin to you in the wind and yet you wear them on our first date, then um i will have doubts about stayin with you during the "whole" date... now for women, i always tell my bf's and x's and male friends..if you take a woman out and she has on shoes where shes showin her feet..check her heels..if her heels look like she been valet parkin for the flintstones overtime or like shes been cuttin hard loaves of bread with her feet, then you shouldnt call her again, because if she cant take care of "herself" more than likely, she cant take care of you.. foot guy
I dated a lady who didn't pamper her feet or anything else. She certainly didn't pamper me either.
Cookie Puss
Originally posted by MWC_LifeBeginsAt40 What really drives me nuts with guys and shoes, are the guys who buy one pair and wear those and only those until they wear out (like after 3 years), then they insist on buying the exact same pair cuz they were ohhh so comfortable and they won't even try any other kinds of shoes, and of course, the old ones are nowhere to be found so they keep wearing the old ones for another few years until the retro stores come out with their old style ten years later. This doesn't stop with shoes....and yeah, I still date some of these guys once in a while. its no big deal however i would never want to date someone who is so obssed with shoes.
