mia251 Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 I was supposed to be meeting my online guy today but he cancelled yesterday because of work commitments. Originally, he wasn't supposed to be working today but his manager told him he has to and his manager is a dick. I was really excited and nervous but more excited. I feel really let down. He apologised a lot for letting me down and he promised it won't happen again. Now, I've decided not to push to meet him as I want him to initiate it. I don't want to get my hopes up again. It sucks even more because he works a lot especially on weekends ( in events) and I'm at university. Why do I still feel like ****? I don't want to yet I do.
duncsvoice Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 If he's cancelled, you're right, the onus is on him to make new plans with you. You feel rubbish because you were excited, that's normal!
d0nnivain Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 You shouldn't feel like rubbish. You can feel disappointed. He didn't reject you. Work got in the way. After you graduate university you will realize that is a part of life. Grab a class mate & do something fun tonight. Send him a flirty text while he's a work to signal that you are still open to meeting when he's free. 1
SevenCity Posted April 20, 2017 Posted April 20, 2017 I disagree with Donovan about texting him -if I had to cancel plans due to work I would offer an alternate day right away. Assuming I was interested. The ball is in his court now - let him offer an alternative. 1
