jacquelyn
I have a little problem here. I have finally realized how darn skinny I am when I went to Raging Waters the other day. I was practically the skinniest girl at the park. So, I'm on a mission to gain some weight! I'm 5'2 and I weigh 100lbs. My doctor said to be average is to be 110-115lbs. My question is... How can I gain 10-15 lbs without gaining a big tummy? Whenever I gain any weight, it just goes straight to my stomach! It's horrible! I'm afraid that if I exercise while eating excessively won't let me gain the weight. Any suggestion on getting my arms, legs, and boobs fatter but manage to keep a small tummy? FYI, the most I've ever weigh was 102lbs. And I've been 92-100lbs for the last 3 years or so regardless of how I eat.
blue16
Unfortunately, people are pretty much genetically pre-disposed where they gain weight. If you normally gain weight in your stomach, then you are stuck with that and will have to make do. Do you have skinny arms? What I suggest you do is start going to the gym and lifting a few weights. Just some basic arm exercises to add some muscle, so that you arms will fill out a little bit. Just workout your biceps, triceps, and shoulders a little bit just to add a little bit of bulk. Now, you should also be doing a few ab workouts so that your stomach is as toned as can be. So if you gain weight, even if most of it is going to your stomach...you have nice defined muscles and it blends in a lot better. I can also suggest tanning more often (if you are fair skinned) as the darker your skin - the more toned your musles look. The main thing I think is going to the gym and doing some simple exercises, not much cardio as that burns a lot of calories. When you go to the gym often, you need a lot of protein and calories to replenish you - so you gain weight and muscle (as long as you eat more.)

Author jacquelyn
I have skinny arms with average sized thighs and a big tummy. Hehe. Ugly isn't it? Unfortunately, it runs in the family. I'm drinking a quart of whole milk daily hoping that it'll help me gain some weight. I was thinking that maybe I can gain the weight first, and then work out my stomach to loose the fat there. AleroGurl
im about 105-110 lbs at 5'4. my metabolism is INSANELY high and it drives me nuts. my dr and a good friend who body builds told me to eat ALOT of carbs and start lifting weights. my main fear is i dont wanna lose my boobs and have them turn into muscle boobs lol! but he said if i eat carbs, pasta, and stuff like that ill slowly see the weight gain and just lift weights. its very frustrating! and jacquelyn, if ur insecure about ur tummy, try doing some pilates. they hurt like a b*tch but you see results fast and its something u can do at home in like 20 mins 3 tiems a week!
