I learned that even though I have forgiven, it is not possible to forget, and things will not be the same ever after that initial trust is broken. It leaves a permanent scar and the best I can do is to focus on positive things in our marriage and life.

I also learned more about myself, my weakness and about self-respect. I told myself to never do this to my SO under any circumstances because I know how much this hurts.
