BlaneMuck
Hey guys recently a new girl started working at my job. We've hanged out a few times and I'm absolutely crazy for her. I get jealous when other CO workers try and talk to her. I buy her lunch, I gave her a puppy, and rides home from work. Now here comes my dilemma , she has a boyfriend. I just want to win her heart and feel like I might have a chance.. Any advice/tips on how to make her happy?
d0nnivain
Back off. She has a BF. She is your co-worker. Until she breaks up with the BF you have no chance. Pursuing her makes you a home wrecker & shows great disrespect for her choice & his existence. How would you feel if some random dude chased your GF at work? You can make her happy by leaving her alone & stop trying to buy her affections. Stop buying her lunch. You gave her a puppy? If she didn't specifically ask for & share with you a realistic plan for caring for the animal, that was an incredibly insensitive thing to do! You don't just gift a living creature to somebody you don't know all that well. Now she has to feed this dog, train it & get it expensive vet care. You think you did a good thing by giving her a cuddly puppy. You actually did a bad thing by burdening her with all these added expenses & time commitments. Don't you realize there is a reason all the rescue shows check out the house before allowing the adoption? They have to make sure the animal will be safe. What you did was so very WRONG!! I'd go on but my anger & outrage at you are boiling over & if I say what I want to say, I will be banned from LS.
Author BlaneMuck
Here's the situation, every time I offer her something she accepts it. She always has this beautiful smile on her face and I had a puppy in need of a home and offered to everyone and she really really wanted it. I know it's wrong to interfere with her relationship but she's so amazing.
somanymistakes
Okay phew, it's less creepy if you had a puppy and were offering it around and she wanted it. Anyway, I suspect she's just a nice friendly girl who enjoys talking to people, including you. Bringing drama into her life by declaring your love for her or trying to mess up her current relationship will not make her happy.
preraph
Because she's so amazing, she's probably totally used to a lifetime of people trying to spoil her and give her things and doesn't make that much of it.
Hoosfoos
If she gets with you, keep in mind that she'll do the same thing to you that she's doing with her current boyfriend.
Shanex
She has poor boundaries and I think she is more at fault here than you. She enjoys the attention and the free ride, and the puppy while she has a boyfriend? Her boyfriend should dump her right the moment he learns about all that, and you should find a different woman on your own.
somanymistakes
.... why should her boyfriend dump her if she heard that some guy at work had an extra puppy that needed a home and she decided she wanted a puppy?
aileD
Why would she want anything more with you? You buy her things and give her rides and pamper her and then she goes home and has sex with her boyfriend. Lay off. She's taken.

You don't really love her, you're just obsessed with her and that's selfish motivation
Imajerk17
She has poor boundaries and I think she is more at fault here than you. Her boyfriend should dump her right the moment he learns about all that, and you should find a different woman on your own. Yep. She is hanging out w OP, letting him drive her home*, and letting him buy her lunch, and she HAS to know he has feelings for her. As much as all this goes against how We On LS Feel Things Should Go, I think there is a good chance she is dating, or at least *thinking* about dating OP already. Or she is EXTREMELY naive, or at the very least, playing dumb. There could also be the possibility that she is just using OP's attention too though. *I think OP and Girl are very young, probably high-school age. As she is letting OP drive her home, it stands to reason she doesn't have her own car yet. Or maybe even her driver's license yet. Edited May 22, 2017 by Imajerk17
Arieswoman
Blanemuck, I gave her a puppy, You used a dog as a way of getting her affection ? Have you any idea about how much commitment it takes to own a dog? The cost of feeding, vet's bills, kenneling when you go away etc etc. Animals are not toys to be used for a purpose and discarded, they are sentient creatures like you and I who don't ask to be born and have a right to a happy life. So how is it you had "a puppy in need of a home" - why couldn't you shoulder your own responsibilities and look after it yourself? It seems to me that you are so blinkered that it's all "me me me." And you're irresponsible. You need to grow up and fast.
