manders_01
I have had a "crush" on Rick since spring of 02. I met him through my best friends now husband, they worked together and played baseball together. At the time, we were both living in Denver. Since then, he has moved to Vail and I have moved to Chicago. Two weekends ago was my best friends wedding - I served as maid-of-honor. Originally, Rick was bringing a date to the wedding but a few days before, I found out he was coming alone. I didn't get any chance to really even see him until after we had eaten dinner at the reception. At that time, I found our mutual friends Michael and Tamara, he was talking with them and I joined the conversation. I easily engaged in conversation with Rick - a first for me. We had barely spoken in the whole time we had known each other - both of us too shy. After that, we spent a lot of time together talking, dancing and most importantly - flirting (including body flirting, which I think is rare for men). When we danced, he would lean his forehead on mine or nuzzle into my neck. We eventually kissed. The rest of the evening, if we were within a foot of each other, we were holding hands, he was carressing my back, etc. We ended up sleeping together. We had absolutely no discussion about any sort of potential future. However, I'm now thinking I may want to see what could happen between us. Am I crazy for persuing this with 1000+ miles between us? Marshbear32
Distance can be worked out if the two of you really want to be together. Since you seem to be the aggressor it might be up to you to pursue. It is worth a shot and might be the best thing for both of you. You never know what will happen until you give it a twirl..
