Mixed race or age gap? Which couple faces more challenges from others ?

Recommended Posts

Definitely mixed race, that is all depending on the location and ethnicities too.

Black and white are common where I live. Sometimes white and Arabs/Muslim in which case and often the non Muslim has to convert. No doubt either face their families who often cannot accept it.

Love knows no boundaries? Probably, unfortunately people will always gossip about age, race or gays, even in comptemporary western nations.

Knowing it varies by individual and by region (though not as universally as some might think), I think probably more people do a double take over mixed race, which is unfortunate in 2017. I think it also depends on the ethnicities involved. A black and white couple or Hispanic and white couple is common around here. However, particularly in the smaller and more rural places, a white person with an Arabic or middle eastern person would elicit comments because so many of a certain kind of person think everyone with brown skin is a terrorist.

Personally, I'd feel more comfortable dating someone of a different amount of melanin than someone significantly older or younger.

Relationships are unique.

Love doesn't have a race. Or an age.

The challenges a couple faces will be unique to them. Their love, however, won't be impacted by race or age. It will be other things and other people that impede their relationship.

Love is.

I've done both, even dated someone of another race who was significantly younger. I've never had any problems from other people in any scenario. Whatever challenges we had were often self imposed/inflicted and came from within rather than from others looking in.

Really depends on the location. And a bit on the races too. I don't think an inter racial couple with a white person and an east asian person would raise a single eyebrow anymore here it is so common. But other races are a bit less common, and more racism tends to exist. It would be much more so in a less urban locale, or in much of America.

Age differences are really common, so it depends on how extreme you get. Where as a couple is either mixed race or not. There is a sliding scale there from a couple ten years different where probably no one would care, to a Hugh Hefner type relationship which would definitely get people talking.

Depends initially on the race and the size of the

age difference.

Then throw in religion, ethnicity, and where you

live now and eventually what to wind up living.
