Opposites attract or birds of a feather - long term potential

Kinda deliberating over two girls, both very different, and wondering what peoples thoughts are on the whole opposites attract and compliment vs a relationship with someone much more similar to you?

Girl 1, funny, entertainer, complete chatterbox, a real people person, cheery, best friends with almost everyone, doesn't take herself to seriously at all, on the surface this girl is honestly like the girl version of me, and its hit me recently that we got on so well, we are in stitches like all the time and shes so easy to talk to, i absolutely love her company, and shes probably one of the most naturally pretty girls I've met, always smiling. She's a really worrier though which is probably our biggest difference because im really not, but you wouldnt know it if you met her.

Girl 2. Sexy and a little bit mysterious, its cliche, but girl 2 has had my attention for a while. She certainly doesn't waste words but she speaks, man i listen. She doesn't laugh at everything but her laugh is worth so much. She's quiet in a group, shes can be moody, she's quite artsy, quite avant-garde, and shes not shy of confrontation. We are opposites in a lot of ways but she challenges me, mentally, she makes me think differently and its intriguing its attractive.

I guess the thing is that as I get more to an age where i dont want to just mess about, i start to look more at the kind of girls i date and think about what really does make for better like long term relationship.

So which way do you sway opposites or common ground?

They both sound nice enough. Which one makes your motor run? Which one do you think will hold your interest when you are tool old / sick / tired to have sex any more?

Middle ground. Similar enough to not drive each other crazy but opposite enough to keep things interesting.

I say girl #1.

I think a big reason why my husband and I have made it thus far is that we share so much in common (humor, interest, views of the world), and it allows us to UNDERSTAND each other.

"Mystery" girl? It might not be fun trying to figure out what is going to rub her the wrong way, etc - when you could have someone who you click with, and understand naturally.

I see the fact that she is a worrier and you aren't as another asset. Some yang to her ying is good. My Mr tends to be a bit of a pessimist, but you add my overly optimistic views, we can often balance each other out.

If you were to set me up with one. Its Gril #1. Notice that you started off with her and wrote more discriptive things about her.

In my mind. Girl #1 comes off like Amy Schumer. Girl #2 comes off like Angelina Jolie.

I say Girl #1. Girl #2 can be a friend.

Haha errrr I'm probably most attracted to 'Girl 2', shes where my attention has been and who i've been pursuing, Girl 1 has till now been more of a 'bestie' but i guess this is how my question came about really, i was sat with Girl 1 the other day thinking just how well we get on, how i look forward to her company and how similar we are, and the fact is shes a very attractive girl, i think one of the most naturally pretty girls i've ever met, so i don't know why ive never thought of her in that way before, and it makes me wonder if a relationship like with her would have a better chance of working out long term, or maybe not, maybe we'd be too similar, I don't know...

Yeah yeah I get you.

Like me and 'Girl 2' we bicker sometimes, not seriously like banter (and i quiet like she takes no s***) and there's definitely chemistry there, so its flirty, its sexy, but we do bicker.

Where as me and Girl 1 dont have that, we're maybe a bit more matey, and a bit less flirty, but its different, like I wouldnt bicker with her ...i guess she brings out a gentler side of me....i think maybe because i know shes a bit of a worrier and because i know shes a bit of a people pleaser and i hate when people like that are taken advantage of, so i guess maybe i just feel more protective towards her.

who do you have the most sexual chemistry with?

who do you think would most likely 'have your back'?

and, finally

with whom do you share most your values?

who do you think would most likely 'have your back'?

I dunno, I think they are both pretty loyal girls to be fair.

and, finally

with whom do you share most your values?

Girl 1 I think, I think the way we see the world is just so similar!

Suppose they both met someone else and fell in love. Which girl would you feel most gutted about losing that chance with?
