Chilli
Just wondering how you met your wife, husband or biggest love , or the most important one in your life so far ? Finding myself single at this stage in life , l look back and wonder well how did l meet whoever in the past. But it was then with thinking about it, l realized l just met the "whoever's", through friends, family , crap like that. But the only two that actually mattered were both just accidents and nothing to do with living a life or having friends or anyone l knew. None of those went anywhere in the end anyway. That got me thinking those things must often just be more a convenience . But of the only two important women in my life, one l actually met through a newspaper singles club we were both just in for a laugh, but never in wildest dreams expected to marry someone. l guess that could be in the getting a life thing. And , then gf l just accidentally met in a forum. But really , no one that amounted to anything, came through friends or anyone l knew . Weird. l just thought that was really interesting and something l just didn't even realize until l worked it out. How did you meet them, the real them, forget the rest ? GemmaUK
Right place right time - so by accident. I'd had a pretty awful night out and had argued with a friend, nothing major, just a disagreement and she was working in the bar I was in. I left the bar and wandered down to a restaurant which was open late, knowing pretty much that a group of my friends would most likely be there and I fancied some food and decided to go find them. I walked in and bumped into some other people I knew right by the door but also saw the group I was looking for also. I stopped to chat for a few minutes and then saw this new guy with my friends, a guy I hadn't seen before. We locked eyes many times within what must have been just a few minutes. I said goodbye to the people by the door and walked down to my friends, they were just about to sit down and were happy for me to join them and it was clear that he and I would make sure we sat next to each other - so we did. It was another four months though of bumping into each other and mutually getting to know each other a bit before we went on a date.

CautiouslyOptimistic
Well, I wouldn't say he's the most "important" now, but definitely the most influential since we got married young and had two kids and attempted to build a life together......I met my ex-husband when we were both in the same wedding the summer I graduated from college. I met my most influential female friends in college. I'm still very close with many of them.
Pete.Zah
I doubt that anyone will believe me, but that's the kind of life I've had. I met the most significant person in my recent, current phase of life through a craigslist personal forum. I sifted through all the sewerage and found a deep thinking, sweetheart of a girl, met in person after talking for a year, and she's now an irreplaceable valuable friend. And she has the greatest body for an age appropriate woman for me that I have ever seen.

central
The three best relationships of my life originated through online dating (OLD). Two remain close friends; the third I married, and she was and is the love of my life. Many people meet through their social connections, including work and activities. If those people don't include/have enough of the right connections, you won't meet (or be introduced to) anyone suitable - that was my case, after college, anyway. (I met my first wife at a college party.)

KGee
We work at the same company, different offices, I needed ITs help and he turned up (I broke the computer) and we got talking, I asked him out for coffee then he asked me out for dinner. He told me the other day the job he come to see me for had a turn around time of 15 minutes but he spent 3 hours with me.
