Do men creep around on social media...& if you do, does it effect your relationship?

I'm surrounded by women that are constantly creeping around on social media for multiple reasons. Then it splits to those that are checking everything their bf/H/fiancé do & or like. I'm wondering if men do this also?

No, I prefer to lurk on advice forums, instead. But seriously, I can't take any more pictures of food, clickbait, cat videos, political rants, bragging and posing. So I'm abstaining from social media.

I definitely don't make any effort to check up on what my wife is doing on social media.

 

As for general creeping around. Not usually, but sometimes I'll get curious about someone from the past and take a look at what they are up too.

What do you mean by creep? If you mean look at profiles of people who are not my friends, or somehow tangentially connected to me. No, then I don't.

 

If you mean view friends profiles and posts, even opposite gender one's, then yes occasionally.

 

MY GF uses social media sparingly compared to me, so, there wouldn't be much to creep on anyway

I guess I mean, all of it. Cyber stalking someone, wether it be what your SO is doing or someone else...my H & I just don't take social media that seriously & speaking to other couples we're seeing women make it a bigger deal than men but men don't open up about private things so easily & that's why I asked. I've had a couple guys admit to me that they look on certain people's pages but it doesn't seem to be to the degree of women.

I don't think this is something that can really be attributed to genders. Some things in life obviously can be attributed to gender, but I don't think this is one of them. People stalk people on social media for a multitude of reasons. All just comes down to the individual. I like to check up on people on social media sometimes but I wouldn't say I stalk people. Yet alone my significant other? That's just sad. Not sure why people feel the need to constantly check their SOs profile. They worried they gonna cheat or something? Come on. *smfh*

Though it goes both ways, men tend to creep more on profiles of women they want to date, women tend to creep more on profiles of men they used to date...
