In this day and age...

Suppose you give someone your phone number and they reply that they only use their phone for emergencies. From that response what you imply of their interest level or that situation in general?

It's hard to reply without context.

But if we're assuming this is someone you don't know well and you were asking them out, then it's a No Go.

I basically never use the phone. But if you tried to give me your phone number and I actually wanted to talk to you, I'd ask you for your email or facebook or something instead.

If they just say that they never use the phone, it may be true, but it's probably also a 'no thanks'.

They are not interested in phoning you. It's fairly simple really. Either that or they have payg and it would cost them a fortune to make a five-minute phone call. If you want to talk to someone because you have a romantic interest in them, it is best to suggest that you call them. I have a payg and it eats £s in minutes. I use it mainly for texting.

That they are insulting my intelligence OR they are a weirdo.

Either way.. that would be a deal breaker. Its 2017. Who only uses their phone for emergencies? Some hermit living in the mountains? lol
