Blanco
While I don't think it's good to be fearful of farting in front of your partner, I don't at all understand those who seem to make no effort not to rip it and roar it in front of their partner.
Daisy2013
No one wants to be married to someone with the mindset of a five-year-old so all efforts should be made to avoid it. There will be enough humiliation once you're old and can't control yourself. She will need good memories of when you used to be a nice gentleman to get through those times. Truth! My 96-year old grandma used to pass gas as she walked. She would just grin. She wasn't uncouth, just 96!
O'Malley
It's different sensibilities and neither is wrong. For me, there's a difference between being comfortable and letting it all hang out. Yeah, we all have bodily functions but imo couples don't have to share everything. I'm comfortable with keeping some mystery in my relationship, the bathroom door closed and not being around someone who deliberately belches or has room clearing farts. Someone routinely doing that would be a passion killer really fast.
