Sammichmaker
Hello all, my fiance and I are planning for our honeymoon coming up this January and are compiling a list of fun items to carry along (we're choosing to spend our time isolated in a cabin). We are looking for suggestions of other things we may not have thought about. Any input is appreciated, websites seem to just list common sense daily items (toothpaste, deodorant, etc.) whereas i'm searching for the more risque (massage oil, lube, etc.). Simple Logic
Some kind of sex board or card game?
cocoa342
Handcuffs. Chocolate body paint. Costumes for dress ups.
GunslingerRoland
If you're looking purely for sex stuff, this may have made more sense in the sex forum. But really it depends on what you are into. My suggestion would be to go into a sex store and look around for ideas, even if you don't buy much there and order online instead. But if you're whole week is planned around just sex, then I would plan to buy a variety of stuff to keep it interesting. Besides that, I'm not sure what is available by your isolated cabin, is it on a lake or something? Maybe some sports stuff, (badminton rackets?, a frisbee?) for the rest of your time.
Els
Are you going to be flying or driving? Big difference in what you can carry there.

carhill
When we were prepping to married in Hawaii I told my then fiance to pack a bikini and a credit card Fat chance Unless the cabin is miles from civilization, if things come up you can always get them. Oh, unless you're planning on getting pregnant right away, bringing along birth control is helpful.... we got married older so were so that wasn't an issue for us. IMO, keep it simple and focus on each other. Even with lots of years under the bridge and that fiance, then wife, becoming an ex-wife down the road, I still remember laying in bed our first morning as a married couple watching that sun rise over the ocean at the beach house we'd rented. To me, that's the beauty of living. Memories. Hope you and yours make plenty of wonderful ones.
Author Sammichmaker
Yes, moreso for sex "stuff" as you put it. Creative games, is another way to put it. Cabin's in the mountains of TN. We'll be driving. Both want to avoid going outside as much as possible, so we're attempting to list everything in advance.
lana-banana
You're getting a cabin in the mountains, but don't want to go outside? You plan to spend the entire honeymoon indoors, in a cabin? Am I understanding you? If so: bring books. Music, too, for the intervals when you're sick of each other. - Bring at least two towels for sexytime so you don't have to think about stuff on the sheets. - Vaseline. - Unscented soap for cleaning up. - Everything you need to cook and clean while you're there. Get a bunch of staples, like eggs and beef, and jazz them up in leftovers while you're there. - Make sure you have ample materials for starting and feeding fires; it takes A LOT of wood to keep a fireplace going for long stretches. - You might need to bring heating oil for the cabin. - Flashlights, just in case. Have fun! Sex is great and all, but you'll have to fight literal cabin fever too.

We've actually singled out a roomy 2 level cabin.. windows cover two walls and stretch from floor to ceiling.. it's too gorgeous to inflict cabin fever. Not sure why you'd suggest we'd be sick of each other.. i've never mentioned in this thread how long we'd be staying in the cabin. Again, I'm not looking for common sense necessities to pack.. this list is primarily for any kind of sensual/risque twists on games, etc. that might be a fun addition. Thanks for the concern, but I don't think I'll tire of him anytime soon

It's hard to suggest without knowing what you guys enjoy in the bedroom, but I'll try! If you're driving, that'll be way easier and have less restrictions. Interested in experimenting with bondage? Bring some handcuffs, silk rope, etc. Bring some slinky nightwear to "surprise" him in. Board games and card games for sex are a dime a dozen on Amazon, alternatively you could always make your own if you have the time. Of course, lube and massage oil sounds good too. Maybe a sexy apron, and cook breakfast with nothing underneath? Oh, and IMO one of the great things about having sex in an isolated location is that you can scream to your heart's content and not worry about waking the neighbours! Have lots of fun!!
Author Sammichmaker
the diy card game.. see, this is why a thread was necessary. these things go right over my head lol thank you.
lana-banana
Well, "honeymoon" (to me at least) implies a few weeks. I could be wrong, of course! Hell, I get sick of myself after a while with no other in-person contact. We are not big on sexy games but I know dice are popular. Handcuffs are a good idea for sexy stuff. Don't forget massage oil, feathers, maybe whips and belts. Candles and satchels of rose petals are very romantic and most quality sex shops sell them. If you don't usually wear garters and stockings now might be a fun time to get some. We actually just got back from our honeymoon in a villa in Crete, and while we had a lot of...activity time, it was also good to spend downtime cooking and reading when we weren't out and about. And having ample lotion and Vaseline made it easier to recover between all the bedroom romps!
Rockdad
We honeymooned in a mountain cabin in Tn. It had every convenience one could need. The satellite TV and Hot Tub was a very nice touch! Some of those rental cabins are really nice. The OP is really going to have fun!
Michelle ma Belle
I will echo many of the responses already presented; trip to a sex shop be it bricks and mortar or online would be my first choice and a great start. The key is doing it TOGETHER so you both can pick and choose things you like or would like to try; toys, lube, fetish items, games, clothing etc. The shopping will certainly wet your whistle Here are a few things you might consider when shopping; 1. 101 Sexual Positions - Either research online or invest in a book about sexual positions. If you're going to lock yourself up in a cabin in the woods, what better time than to try and checkm off all those crazy sexual positions you hear about. 2. Erotica - Nothing is sexier and sets the mood better than reading titillating sex stories out loud to one another while cuddled up by a crackling fireplace or in a warm bubble bath. 3. Porn/Steamy Movies - Not sure what your take is on this but it can be a good time, particularly erotic films or feminist porn to compliment the romantic aspect of your wedding night. I highly recommend director Erika Lust films in terms of porn or indie films like Love, 9 Songs, Lie with Me. I'm sure I have more ideas but that's what I have off the top of my head. Congratulations and have lots of sexy FUN!
salparadise
Alcohol of choice and mixers. There are dry counties in those mountains... and even if it's not a dry county finding your favorite libation is unlikely unless Jack Black and Pepe Lopez your compadres. Food delicacies like good cheeses, spreads, thick cut ribeyes or fillets, shellfish, baguettes, good olive oil, spices, etc. I suggest making a list of what you love to eat and taking most of it with you. I have some experience staying in this area and there is a good chance that you won't find great restaurants nearby, or well stocked grocery stores. The tourist industry shuts down for a lot of places during the winter. Even if you're close to Knoxville or Gatlinburg it will just be better to not have to go out foraging.
Doublegold
Congratulations, sounds like a perfect, intimate honeymoon. Many great suggestions. As mentioned, handcuffs are fun....just remember you are in a remote area--they brought to mind Stephen King's novel "Gerald's Game" Enjoy!

Haha, most handcuffs sold in sex stores come with a safety release latch. Too many issues otherwise with people losing the keys. But now you're making me curious with the novel... not sure if I want to read it, lol!
sammicheater
Hello, this is sammichmakers new husband. All went well, we had a very nice ceremony in a quaint little gazebo in ohio with our close family. My sister actually got ordained online and officiated our wedding for us. We met online a couple of years ago, her in Wisconsin, me and South Carolina. So as a little wedding gift I made her a necklace out of two quarters of our states, and was able to get a transcript of our very first interactions with each other on the dating site. I wrote her a letter telling her how much I loved her and what I looked forward to doing with her for the rest of our lives and presented them to her on the days leading up to our wedding. Needless to say she loved it. As for the check list.. I went on amazon and got her some cheap lingerie that she pointed out to me before hand, a sex toy, a message candle, a ribbon and a gag gift that actually turned out to be a very good purchase.(if you haven't tried "spunk" lube you should..) It all went great, thanks everyone for the suggestions, we had a lot of fun.
