1Jessie86
The other night before hanging out with a co-worker of the opposite sex he texts me that he has a disclaimer. I received 3-4 texts from him stating that if we're going to hang out I cannot mention our meetup with any of our colleagues. Because it was a late night meetup and the amount of disclaimer texts I received from him I accidentally took it the wrong way thinking that by meeting up he just wanted sex. And for some immature reason I used the words "the nasty" instead of the word sex in reply to his disclaimer texts just to make a point that that's not why I was going over to hang out.. He took offense to that comment. I still feel really bad. I ended up going over to his house to hang out in order to try to redeem myself but he just wasn't understanding where I was coming from. Now going to work is slightly awkward. Might I still have a chance to redeem myself? I'd rather just be friends at this point anyways with this guy.
Yosemite
You didn’t take it the wrong way, that’s what he meant. When it became clear that there wasn’t going to be any sex that night, he got upset and started pouting. Then he pretended that he wasn’t expecting sex and was upset that you used the word nasty when actually he was upset that you weren’t going to have sex with him. If someone is so embarrassed by you that they tell you multiple times that they want to keep you a secret, you say good-bye and don’t look back. You don’t try to “redeem” yourself with someone who is embarrassed by you. Don’t go hang out a guy’s house late at night and think that he doesn’t think you’re coming over for sex. Actions speak louder than words.
d0nnivain
Act like it never happened. Ignore it. Be professional, warm & friendly but nothing more. If you act normally so will he.
