Linus
I recently met this terrific woman (so she seems right now, anyway). We're both grad students, and I see her around every once in a while, but we had never really talked, so I asked her to coffee and she said yes right away. I had a great time, and so did she, as far as I could tell. I suppose you could say I'm smitten. She's beautiful, very intelligent, it's all there. Since we just met I figure, what have I got to lose? So I tried to call her, but only got the machine. I sent her an email asking her to go to lunch, but so far no response (no returned phone message, either). Am I just being impatient? And does anyone have any advice on how to play this situation? She jumped at the opportunity for coffee, but may not have seen the situation as romantic or anything more than two people meeting up to talk. I'm always afraid of laying it on too thick or messing up the timing of things. Like it's often said it's good to let things progress naturally--but what exactly does that mean? What is natural? Don't we influence the progression of things through our actions? Any advice would be appreciated. I smell a lot of potential here and don't want to screw things up! Thanks. Mr.positive
How long has it been since you called or emailed. I wouldn't call anymore that was enough. If she likes you shell let you know. Just play it cool kinda like your not interested but not really shell be all over. you.
