BettyBoo Posted August 23, 2005 Share Posted August 23, 2005 Hi, My boyfreind and I are planning to get engaged soon. We are both divorced. I am an 11 year old daughter who lives with me - plus two adult children who have their own homes (both in their early 20's). My boyfriend has three grown up kids 20's+. We are not planning to live together until we get married. The problem is I am not sure how we should break the news to them.?Should we invite them all to dinner and break the news to them then? Or should we tell our own familes respectively? I know my children will be happy for us. His children will be too but his ex wife will make it difficult for them to celebrate with us. She has already emotionally blackmailed them into excluding me from different events by saying if I go she won't! Naturally she won't be invited to this occassion but if she hears about it she will do everything to stop them attending. I would appreciate any advice you may have.
