FaithInTheDark
I was seeing a guy for a few weeks that i met thru a mutual friend . (theyre roommates) we went on a few dates and did sleep together. we have been hanging out in group settings a lot and all became friends fast. (about 4 of us) Things were going well but, i was drinking a lot around him ...realizing i wasnt painting myself in the best light. I realized that im not in a great place and drinking helps me gain confidence. this is a whole another story that im working thru myself and realizing im not ready to be in a relationship until i work thru my own issues. about 4 days ago he called me to break it off, saying he wasn't "comfortable being romantic with me anymore" ...liked hanging out but didnt have romantic feelings for my anymore. i felt rejected but moved on pretty fast. over the course of the 4 days ive been hanging out with our group minus him. i been very friendly but needed my space from him. He must be feeling left out because he mentioned to my friend, his roommate that he hasn't seen us in a while. well, this morning he texts me asking if i would like to go for dinner tonight. i was kinda taken back by him directly asking to go for dinner when he ended it with me. I found out he did text our mutual friend as well to ask what he was up too, but our friend is busy out of town. Im trying to play it cool...and i agreed to go for dinner. what is this guys deal? our friends are certain he just wants to be included in the group. im wondering if hes maybe missing me? should i go for dinner with him or separate myself from him completely. kinda a weird situation...seeking insight. im not gonna get sucked back into him, and i am not a door mat either. help? . smackie9
My guess he just wants it to be ok between you two...you know make amends so to speak so he can feel more comfortable hanging out as a group again. That would make sense. He just wants to talk to clear the air.
