But how do I start a conversation with someone that doesn't know me and in a store that she works at? I'm not very good at this so your input would be helpful.

different things work with different people. it can't hurt to try! just make sure you have another blockbuster around in case she looks at you like you're crazy and makes you feel like a jerk.

Point out your Mercedes or BMW in the parking lot, ask her if she thinks you should get one in a better color.

 

Ask her to help you pick out a better car at the dealership (a scouting trip when dealer is closed)

Then maybe she'll join you for movie thats playing, one that you invested in and hope is a block buster.

 

If all this doesn't interest her, then try being nice to her.

next time you walk in and see her just walk around and as if you are looking for a movie and then go over to her and say I was wondering if you could help me find a movie.. Ask her if there are any new movies she has gotten in and if she has seen them and if she recommends them.. You can use your environment around you to help you. Or pick out the movie you want and ask her if she has seen it or heard anything about it.. Then just keep the convo going from there. You might also ask her how long shes worked there and how she likes it there etc..you can always talk to her more the next time you go in also.. just progress from there..

I used to work in a videostore so I'd suggest this, be upfront about asking her otherwise you'll be on here wondering if her actions toward you were out of real interest or what because we are paid to be nice to you, though there were some customers who were real nice ppl, but you need to be upfront with her and like a previous poster suggested, make sure there's another blockbuster to go to incase it goes south.

So maybe you can help me out...

 

if a random customer guy just walks up to you at blockbuster and starts a conversation...how would you react? and would it depend what he says to keep you talking to him?

 

i would think she would feel strange if I did that to her. that is just my opinion because I'm a stranger and why would she want to talk to a guy that she doesn't know?

She doesn't know you because you are a stranger but aren't we all virually strangers until we make the move to become friends with someone ?

 

Its okay to let her know you are interested. Go slow. Go easy. Pretty soon you won't be a stranger and if shes interested , she will respond back
