darkmoon
have you ever done it? and what did the manipulator do or say when you accused them?
basil67
No, there's no point in accusing - they'd just deny it anyway. It's easier to walk away.
Mr. Lucky
No, there's no point in accusing - they'd just deny it anyway. It's easier to walk away. Well said. I've found those that manipulate are equally as adept at deceiving themselves as they are in playing you. The older I get, the less tolerance I have for such people and the accompanying drama... Gretchen12
have you ever done it? Of course not. What good would that do?
carhill
I experimented with it as an 'I feel' statement in MC. Due to the skills of the MC, that became a productive discussion about marital communication styles and comparing actions and words. The MC encouraged my wife at the time to also focus on 'I feel' statements instead of 'you're xxx' statements. Out in the world though, where humans battle each other, nah, don't bother. They're not worth the effort. Walk away.
preraph
They'll likely just use it against you. Make people feel sorry for them like they're the victim.
basil67
And of course, they may not actually be manipulating at all. Sometimes we can't see things clearly on our own end.
