Breakup pain

While what you say makes logical sense, how can anyone predict the future? What if my job would've become better or I would've got a better job and we would've survived? What if I overreacted? What if my assumption was wrong?

Why am I so devastated if my decision was logically correct?

Probably because you didn't truly anticipate her moving on, and hoped she'd still be there when you were ready.

Life is full of what-ifs. You can only go based on what you knew at the time, which was that something was giving you pause about marrying her. Perhaps that was your gut talking to you.

Ok what's next for me? What should I do? I feel so lost. How do I get out of this hole? How do I become normal again and how much time will it take?

We didn't have sex or even kiss each other because she said she will only allow that if we got married.

You never even kissed. That's weird.

I can't possibly tell you how long it will take. Everyone's different.

But you have to be patient with your healing. It takes time. Get back to the hobbies and interests you enjoy. See your friends. Be careful with the self-talk, because a lot of pitying oneself can really delay moving on.
