As far as your affair partner is concerned, I don’t think you can do anything about HIS situation. Whatever decision he makes, he will make it on his own accord. Do you want to be with him long-term? But, if neither of you are happy in your marriage, why have you stayed so long? Six years is a brutally long amount of time to waste in an unhappy marriage, or a dead end relationship with a married man. What's your end game? Why have you not filed for divorce?
