My (soon to be Ex) wife and I have been separated for quite some time and our divorce will be finalized soon. Prior to and during the separation she was cold, showed no signs of affection, and there was zero intimacy for a long time.

 

 

We are on good terms and see each other almost daily. Recently, in the past couple of weeks there has been a change in her behavior that has thrown me off. She has started to hug me, kiss me on the lips, slap my butt playfully, and hold my hand.

 

 

I'm not sure what to think with this? Is she actually flirting with me? For what reason? Could she be having second thoughts about divorce or is she just a little lonely?

That would seem like the logical thing to do. I know her well and would not get an honest response. Upon being asked she would just stop doing whatever it is she is doing.

Then you've clearly established what her current level of interest is. Those aren't the actions of someone wanting to rekindle things.

That was my first thought as well. She's relieved. Might even think you can be friends. Clearly she was the dumper and it's always easy for them to stay in your life because the breakup wasn't nearly as painful because it was their choice.

The fact that you don't know, and you can't ask her, is (part of) why you're getting a divorce.
