When we set our friends up, we are basically giving them a reference. If I was to set someone up, I'd have to be sure that they weren't going to be a PIA to the new person and make me sorry I ever got involved. I'd be looking for things like emotional intelligence, practical nature, friendliness etc. I would be unlikely to set someone up who had a history of one disaster relationship after another.
gaius Posted September 27, 2018 Posted September 27, 2018 I've never seen or heard of a guy "referring dates" to another guy, except in the situation where he was so bottom of the barrel the friend really felt sorry for him. And in that case it's usually the girls nobody else wants. Dating is one of those things you have to do mostly on your own as a guy. Involving other men is a recipe for failure.
