While doing this he continues to look at your Instagram stories and like your Instagram pics?? Would LOVE some male insight into this??!!! I would totally avoid looking at a guys Insta story/liking his pics if I wasn't texting him back!

Maybe his phone ran out of battery. Maybe he didn't see your last text. Maybe he just got bored of the conversation. Maybe he is texting so many people he can't remember who he texted and who he didn't. Maybe the prison only allows texts to be sent 9-5 but allows web browsing all day. Who knows?? The only person who knows, is him.

He lives in Australia and you do not, which means you live quite far away from him [even if you happen to live in New Zealand]. That is quite a crucial detail. Nor is there correlation between instagram/text/men I'm a woman. When I look at Instagram, I look at all pics and stories shared by everyone. I usually 'like' them. Some people are friends, some are acquaintances and some are strangers. My interaction with the social media does not indicate feelings for the people who's photos are there. The photos shared by each person are just one of 10's which I scroll through and randomly like. It takes little time and no though on my part. On the other hand, texting is personal. It takes time and thought. He's not interested in putting time and thought into the friendship.
