taylor11
Basically, recently I have been a bit too persistent with a girl I like, which has led her to ignore me. I know I have annoyed her and probably made her feel uncomfortable, I'm just unsure whether to apologise to her or just let it be. What do you think?

Author taylor11
Basically, I asked her out a few months ago, which she said no to. Though she said no, she did say she was interested, but didn't want a relationship, because she had gone through a recent break up. Anyway, she wanted to stay in contact, so over the last couple of months we have been talking on and off, which in that time I was letting her know I was still interested in her. However, last week I tried my luck once more and since then she has been ignoring me. I now feel I have overstepped my boundary and feel I owe her an apology.

IMO, she was keeping you on the back burner while she recovered from her break up and/or while she was keeping her toes in the dating pool to satiate her need for validation from men after her break up. That's not cool. She treated you unfairly. Edited October 20, 2018 by a LoveShack.org Moderator Truncate quote
smackie9
You owe her nothing. She was never interested, she passively let you down, and gave you a little pat on the hiney by saying she was interested to smooth over the rejection. She had no intention of dating you and should have been very forward with that, so this is on her for saying she was interested. When they say, they are not ready, or they had a bad relationship, dated a jerk, busy with school, or work, dealing with family issues, grandma died, blah blah blah....it's her way of saying I'm not interested in dating you.....ever. You didn't over step anything, she led you to believe there was a chance. Delete/block her.
