Jtizzle
I was wondering if any of you have heard of it???My mothers friend said she tried it and she lost 15 pounds in ten days..Id like to lose some of my breast fat (40 DD) ... but yea the diet consist of drinking this lemonade which is made of fresh organic lemons, maple syrup, cayenne pepper, and water..you drink that 6 to 12 times a day.. and you do that for ten days str8. no eating..the lemonade is food enough for you.. starting today the 12th..will keep you posted on how it turns out
bluechocolate
You're fasting - it is not a 'diet'. Any fast, whether you drink lemonade or not, will result in some weight loss (most of it water). You'll probably have some immediate results but you're just as likely to put it all back on again as soon as you come off the fast. Otherwise - good luck!
Dean3922
The ONLY way for realistic weight loss is diet and exercise. There is no diet or magic pill. You need to consume more calories than you take in. Weight watchers is a more realistic weight loss reduction program. A pound a week is a good goal to have for losing weight. The thing is your body adjusts to what you are doing. When you take in less calories your body will use less and conserve. You need to keep it confused. A good diet with a varing exercise program will do the trick. You may want to go to a gym and enlist the help of a personal trainer. They can really help you with your goal. Outcast
Diets are a scam. They hurt you more than help you because they throw your body off kilter. Don't do it. You'll lose in the short term but teach your body to hang on to every calorie because it thinks you're in famine. You'll end up fatter because of this. Really, suck it up and learn to eat well and exercise. There's no point in being whiny and sulky and stamping your pretty little foot saying 'but I don't wanna'. It's the only way so develop the discipline or live with the flab.

If you were to go speak to any physician about this, he'd laugh you out of your office. Unfortunately, you seem to be one of those poor souls who believe all the garbage pretend health 'experts' tell you. I hope you make a lot of money because you'll need it to pay for all the scams you'll fall for. Really. LucreziaBorgia
I guess as long as you don't have your hopes set on losing actual fat, and you are otherwise healthy without any diabetes or other blood sugar/insulin complications you'll do fine. You'll lose a lot of water weight, but not any body fat. The only way to reduce actual body fat is to change your diet and exercise (or get lipo, if that is your persuasion). If you already have health problems, you'll want to run this MC past your physician before you start.
Outcast
You could not be more wrong. I have been the perfect weight for me most of my adult life and when I did put on some extra pounds in my student days, I took them all off and kept them off by changing my eating and by exercising. And I'm in fantastic health. The question is why bother asking anyone if it's a good idea if you are already completely convinced you know everything about health?
mutton
Good luck on your diet. I'm sure that you will be reallygetting out all that old poo lodged in your system with a liquid diet. Oh...and yea watch out for that Vitamin C overdose from the lemons..some really nasty side effects there. And I'm sure that running on pure sugar, Vitamin C, and calories for 15 days will really make you feel like a million bucks! Honey...the only reason you'll be shedding some weight is that you'll be barely eating. Oh...and if you're so literate, you should go and check on the fact that fasting (where you basically substitute food for juice) actually causes a permanent drop in your metabolism causing you to gain the weight easier than a pregnant bovine once you stop the diet. You should also check into how much of the weight loss is in fact not fat but muscle loss, causing you to look slimmer. And your body needs more to function than Vitamin C and glucose. If you want to de-tox, try to eat healthier and consume more antioxidants. That will help you reach your goal more realistically without damaging your body's internal systems. You have the internet, go and do some research. Even most juice fasting requires more nutrients in the juice than the recipe you've got on hand.

Think about it.. you do not have any poop in your intestine that has been there since you were 1 years old... If you do then you have a movement problem that you need to see a dr for. Common Sense Critic, have you ever TRIED a colon cleanse? A real one? A good whole body cleanse takes 21 days and you won't find a quality one for under $200. It's not about losing weight. Losing weight is just a side-effect of a body cleanse. But what you GAIN is better digestion, energy, skin, you sweat less, and sleep better. It's amazing. But the cleanse takes 21 days and your diet is restricted but when done right, is a huge relief. It is not a myth. It is not a scam. But again, a proper body cleanse takes abut 21 days and a lot of discipline. I have read about this lemonaide cleanse, and it is more about detoxing your body than the colon. A fast from time to time is quite good for your body because you purge toxins. And you might not be as healthy as you think. Do you eat fast food? Fried food? Processed foods? Drink soda? Use artificial sweetners? Homogenized dairy products? If so, then you are not in fact healthy.

Neptune
My opinion is somewhere in the middle. It is interesting that American POW`s in Germany in WW II told stories of becoming healthier under extreme starvation. Fasting for as long as 40 days (remember Jesus) has been around for about as long as human history. There is nothing new about prolonged fasting and I believe it can be good. But there is room for a lot of caution too. Most people nowadays really don`t know much about what is really healthy. And fasting does need to be done correctly. Obviously, there is too much anorexia around right now. But, that happens because the fast never ends. If someone is eating correctly and getting the right excercise that is the main thing. Tangerina
I have done it 2 times... I don't want to get into the debate about whether or not it is a scam, but I found it worthwhile even if just for the reason that it gives you time to really re-evaluate your attitudes towards food and can help you to change any bad consumption habbits that you have developed (overeating, unhealthy eating, smoking, etc...) I still don't even know if I think it does all of that cleansing stuff they say, I am a scientific person and I havn't seen a good study, but even just for the other reasons I mentioned above I think it is worth it... and you feel really good on it, both physically and because you get this feeling like you can do anything... I think everyone should try it at least once... PS, I guess your question was about weight loss... as others said, proper diet and exercise are the most important things, but my experience with this is that I will drop about 10 lbs and then gain about 5 of it back... the thing is, you will gain all of it back if you don't follow a healthy diet and exercise regiment afterwards, and can even gain more if you binge afterwards.... it is not a miricle weightloss plan, some people who are underweight even gain weight on it, but in general, yeah, you will drop a lot of weight and gain a lot back but if you have a healthy diet and exercise then you can end up with a net loss..... (PS also, just going by weight, you have a lot less waste in your body while you are cleansing so some of the "scale" weight you gain back is that waste, but you do gain a fair aount of body fat back rigt away)

Blackfrost
If i drank lemonade 8-10 times a day, and ate no other food, i would be crushed and dead from the bench press bar 3 days into this "flavor of the month" weight loss program haha. Wow look, i'm losing water weight, and my body is consuming it's own muscle mass for protein: sounds good to me. Can't be anything wrong with that ...
