He is contacting me , wants me back?

Hi all, So my ex and I have been friendly Iming each other since we broke up 8 months ago. We have light conversations but he just got back from a trip and has sense been really needy. He will call me three times in a day saying why aren't you picking up my phone calls and will be like my brother is visiting you should come to dinner with us , just the three of us. I haven't seen him in like 2 months and I don't know why all of the sudden he wants to hang out so bad. When we Im I will often say Love ya in the end and he will say I love you more. Then he called the other day to say he misses me and we haven't seen each other in forver and he seemed a little shy. This guy is anything but shy ,.he considers himself a true casanove. Anyways I am wondering if he's changed his mind and realized he wants me in his life and as his girlfriend but doesn't know how to say it becasue he knows I've been casually dating? He always asks if I have a new man in my life. I am thinking about not seeing him until he says he loves me and wants me to be the one but is that unreasonable? Like doesn't he have to feel things out before he can have conviction we are right for each other. Why is he acting so needy? Could it be he is just seeing if I am pining away for him as a game. Please someone help. Should I see him or really make him miss me? Thanks!

It sounds to me like you want to be with this guy - so tell him that.* You're obviously not ready to be friends so I don't know why you're both pretending at playing pals. Just tell him what you want, if he's not ready to give you that then move on.

 

Should I see him or really make him miss me?

 

There isn't much point in seeing him if you're both looking for different things. And he's not going to miss you at all if you keep IMing & telephoning each other.
