She broke up with me and today was the first time I saw in in 5 months. Our breakup didn't leave any hard feelings behind so there were no beef between us. Thing is though, today she was constantly looking at me.

I'm wondering what this could mean?

Can't begin to guess without more context.

We need more information, OP.

Why did she break it off? How long were you together?

She probably was wondering if she should interact with you or not....or would it be too awkward....she was looking for a signal from you is all. And no it has nothing to do with rekindling the relationship...the breakup is still the elephant in the room...she most likely would like to be on friendly/casual terms with you.

I wouldn't try and read anything into this.

Stay nc and keep moving.

She's in the past now. Keep it there.

She claimed that she needed to work on herself. We had a conversation about a month back texting and she told me the reason she broke up with me was genuine and not just an excuse.

She's seemed insecure by the fact that she had to go off to college and didn't think a long distance would work out.

She's interested in knowing if you've been banging, if you have that look on your face ;)

Don't take it personally. If an ex is giving you a second glance in any way, be flattered. You mattered, for awhile anyway. Plenty more to experience.

If someone runs into an ex, of course they're going to stare!

What it means ... could be many things. Could be, that's my ex who I used to date right there. OMG, there he/she is in the flesh.

Often there's a reflex attraction when you run into an ex, certainly a reflex curiosity. It would be strange not to stare, if you ask me.

Running into an ex is strange. Familiarity and no familiarity. Former closeness ... now no closeness ... You might for a moment remember what you liked about the person, yet you're no longer close to the person. So yes, people look at their exes. It would be weirder if she didn't look at you.

not just look but constantly stare for like an hour. she broke up with me so i thought she might not like me because of that. But to constantly be looking?

Yeah, Ive had the same.

An ex ended it with me and kept looking. I asked her out for dinner, she said no. So I asked another girl out to dinner and she said yes. The ex wasn't too happy, but I'd given her another chance and she said no. At that point, she could stare at me walking off with another woman, which she did. She wasn't too happy, but she had made her bed.

All games. Your ex is an ex for a reason. If she wants to communicate she can, otherwise you move on.
