My dad didn't want to pay child support so a man being generous with money was big in my book.

 

Ahhh, interesting. In my case, my father raised me after my parents split, and my mother didn't want to pay child support. Society doesn't support demonizing women for being derelict in that duty the same way it does men, so instead my dad simply taught me by example how to get by and raise a family on very little. So to my mind, spending a man's money on non-essentials is unthinkable.

That's interesting. Our parents shape us early and breaking those inward struggles for survival is too risky.

 

In the end people find each other and try to be happy.
